Beliefs

By grace alone, by faith alone, by Scripture alone: the three "watchwords" of the Lutheran Church.
By Grace Alone.
Salvation is not by good works, but only through God's free grace. Grace is God's undeserved love through Christ Jesus our Savior.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9
By Faith Alone.
We are justified by faith alone without the deeds of the law. We trust alone in God's promises, not in our efforts.
For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law. Romans 3:28
By Scripture Alone.
The Bible is the only source for our faith and life. All of the Bible is God's Holy and Inspired Word.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. 2 Timothy 3:16
